Tier List Commentary
Medea is Still the Best

It should come as little surprise that the Aspect of Medea for Revaal is the best of the best, currently. Throughout the game’s Early Access period, this Aspect has been dominating the game’s meta. This does not change with 1.0!
The main reason for its placement is that you get incredible mobility and also incredible attack power. This combination of factors has made it a favorite for anyone who wants to just kill everything fast, including it being the best Aspect for speedruns. When fully ranked up, nothing compares to its sheer damage output!
The one downside is that it can be unwieldy, so it does require mastery. But, clear that barrier and you’ll likely find it hard to use anything else.
Other Standouts

Aside from Medea (Revaal), we also have to give a shout-out to Circe (Descura) and Melinoë (Descura). Both of them are very versatile and allow for extremely powerful caster playstyles, so you can’t go wrong with either of them. They’re also not super reliant on getting specific Boons, making them fairly easy to play around.
Anubis (Descura) is another one that deserves a special mention, being the best hidden Aspect. It’s a bit quirky, so it does take some getting used to, but its unique moveset does allow for some extremely powerful builds. Get Flame Strike or Heaven Strike with it and you should have an easy victory!
Similarly, Moros (Ygnium) is another notably easy Aspect to win with. You’ll require high Magick and proper timing for Channeling, but combine it with the Clean Coil upgrade and you’ll be obliterating everything with relative ease.
Lower Tiers Are Disappointing, But Not Worthless

Now, as for the low tiers, we want to stress that they’re not unplayably bad. Even the D tiers are usable, and some players can find success with them even at high Fear ratings! So, don’t let this tier list deter you from using them if you personally find them fun.
What makes them take the lower spots in our tier list is simply the fact that they’re generally outclassed by the higher tiers. Obviously, they can’t compete with the sheer damage of something like Medea (Revaal). But, besides that, some of the low tiers just don’t provide enough to make them worth picking from a meta perspective.

As an example, Melinoë (Xinth) is very limited and focused mainly on Wave Strike builds dealing Splash damage. On top of that, you’ll need to get Exhaust Rider and the Legendary King Tide Boon from Poseidon. It’s simply too limited and luck-reliant, compared to the higher tiers! The low tiers all suffer from similar issues, which is what earns them their placement…
Nonetheless, that’s our tier list ranking every weapon aspect in version 1.0 of Hades 2 from best to worst. We hope this helps you decide which Aspects to focus on!
