With the very recent release of the Vessel of Hatred expansion pack for Diablo 4, a lot of changes to the game were also introduced with the latest season and patch that came with it. With that in mind, a lot of classes have shifted around a bit in terms of power, and the introduction of an entirely new one makes things a little more interesting. Here is a tier list ranking each class from a quick glance!
Best Class Tier List for Vessel of Hatred
Before we get to the actual ratings, just keep in mind that this tier list is purely subjective and is also incredibly early. A lot of things can change as more players reach the new endgame and test things out even further.
For now, this tier list will mostly be based on how fun they are and what the community generally thinks of each class right now. Again, none of this is objective, so if your favorite class gets a low rating, that does not necessarily mean that they are bad.
Without further ado, let us get to the actual tier list!
S Tier
Spiritborn – Surprised? With its distinct playstyle and generally just powerful builds at the moment, it should have been expected that the Spiritborn would find its way to the top this season. It is also the shiny new class, and to be honest, I believe it is fair to have it up here even if the sole reason was that it’s just a refreshing experience to play as one.
A Tier
Rogue – Rogues, as usual, are great for both leveling and fast clearing at late game content. Really fun class overall, especially with the “spin to win” build still being considered as one of the best right now.
Sorcerer – The Sorcerer is not amazing, but it is also far from bad at the moment. The top build for it last season (Lightning Spear) is no longer the insanely overpowered setup that it used to be, but it is still pretty good, and we’re sure that the endgame grinders out there will figure out a new fast clearing build if they haven’t already.
Necromancer – While it does not have the ability to clear content as fast as the others in the same tier, it is just great fun in general to play, especially with minion builds getting some love this season. There are just so many possible (and completely viable) ways to play this class right now, so it sits comfortably in this tier.
B Tier
Druid – The Druid is just seen as an “okay” class right now. It can still be fun to speed through content with it, even if it is nowhere near the top tier. Companion builds are supposedly better now, so if you are into that and aren’t really interested in playing the Necro, then you’re going to enjoy this class for sure.
C Tier
Barbarian – The poor Barbarian has been gutted recently and most players claim that it is just not a fun class to play as at the moment. Somebody will probably figure out a busted build for it eventually, but right now, this class just isn’t doing too hot.
And that concludes this tier list for the latest season of Diablo 4, which also introduces an entirely new class-exclusive to owners of the Vessel of Hatred expansion pack. Hopefully, this helps you figure out which classes are going to be more fun this time around, though you are obviously free to try them all out and come to your own conclusions as well!
Franco is a writer and avid gamer who spends a lot of his free time looking for the next obscure indie roguelike to add to his collection. If he’s not busy working or writing on his personal blog, there’s also a non-zero chance that you stumble into him in pretty much any multiplayer game that has SEA or OCE servers. He’s pretty good at anything unless it’s a fighting game, in which case you’d probably body him.
