More specifically, you want to take out as many Exposed Roots as possible as you do both Headhunts and Rootholds. Every Exposed Root has a decently high chance of dropping a Draught of Whispers when defeated.

For farming purposes, we recommend focusing on Rootholds as they have more Exposed Roots. You also want to take two Ceremonies at the start of these Roothold dungeons as well. Ceremonies are the orange modifiers, which make the Roothold much harder. However, they make up for this by having greater increases to Exposed Roots spawns and rewards than lesser rituals. This, in turn, increases how many Draughts of Whispers you get per Roothold run!
However, that’s just a recommendation. Don’t bite more than you can chew, as the Ceremonies apply very strong debuffs. If you don’t want to deal with them, stick with the less Rites and Rituals.
Now, you’ll need to use Whispering Wood Sigils to enter Rootholds. The best way to get these Whispering Wood Sigils is to complete Whispers during Headhunts. You can also get them randomly when opening Silent Chests during those Headhunts.
Lastly, you can also get Draughts of Whispers by opening reward caches from Whispers and The Coven. These caches can also contain Whispering Wood Sigils, so they can be useful even if you don’t get lucky enough to get Draughts of Whispers directly.
