7 articlesThe Weapon Specialist is one of the traders you will want to track down once you have gotten comfortable with the basics in Road to Vostok. Unlike the Generalist who handles a bit of everything, the Weapon Specialist is focused specifically on guns and weapon related gear. If you are trying to upgrade your loadout or pick up attachments, he is the person to see.
The problem is that Road to Vostok gives you no hand holding when it comes to finding anyone. There is no map marker, no waypoint, and no tutorial pointing you in the right direction. In this guide, I will show you exactly where to find him so you are not wasting a run wandering around looking.
Location of the Gunsmith
Before you start looking for the Gunsmith, there is one important thing to know first. He is not available from the start of your run. He only shows up from day 10 onwards, which means you need to survive long enough to actually reach him. Once you have made it to day 10, the Gunsmith can be found inside a bunker in Outpost (Area 05).
As soon as you enter Outpost (Area 05), head towards the left side of the map and keep going until you reach the yellow tape marking the boundary. From there continue heading straight and you will come across a bunker entrance. Head inside and keep going straight until you reach the end of the corridor. Take a right turn and then immediately a left and you will find yourself in the room where the Gunsmith is located. Now that you know where to find him, stock up and get ready before heading to Outpost on day 10. The Gunsmith is worth the wait. He carries weapon specific gear that the Generalist simply does not stock. Building a relationship with him by completing his tasks will open up better deals over time.
