Genshin Impact: Dar al-Shifa Abandoned Hospital Lock Guide | Ancient Key Location

There are lots of secret items and locations that you can find throughout your adventures in Genshin Impact. This is especially true with the latest Sumeru region which features a massive desert area. One of the POIs in this region is the underground hospital of Dar al-Shifa.

In this area, you can find an Ancient Key that you’ll be using on an old cabinet. Let’s find out where you can find them in this guide.

Dar al-Shifa Abandoned Hospital Lock Guide | Ancient Key Location in Genshin Impact

Both items are part of the Archon quest “Cry from the Eleazar Hospital”. This will involve a series of subquests that you need to complete in order to progress further. Eventually, you will come across a subquest that prompts you to “go to the lower level of the hospital”.

This is when you need to head over to Dar al-Shifa.

You can find this location just a bit southeast of Aaru Village as shown in this image:

Enter the building, and turn right to find a hole in the ground. Drop down the hole and just follow the quest marker. Once you arrive, a brief cutscene will then play. This will take you to the lower level of the hospital, and it’s where you can find the Ancient Key.

All you need to do is turn back and investigate the glowing item on the ground. After obtaining the Ancient Key, you just have to go back to the room with the hole on the ground. This time, instead of dropping down the hole, you want to go near the old cabinet.

Then, you simply have to unlock the cabinet using the key. This will reveal something inside, and after a cutscene, you will also unlock the Before My Time achievement.
