Genshin Impact: All 8 Strange Device and Control Key Locations

In the region of Sumeru, there are a total of 8 Strange Devices, along with control keys by which these Strange Devices can be deactivated.

Each Strange Device can be found in one of a total of eight eremite camps. Also, there are control keys around the camps, so you will need to find all the control keys to successfully complete this task.

Where to Find All 8 Strange Devices and Control Keys – Genshin Impact

Strange Device no. 1

To get to the first Strange Device you have to go to the location on the map below. Then, drop off the corner of the building next to the device.

You have to enter the hole to find the first control key. Now you have to go to the tower and drop down the hole in the corner to collect the second control key.

When you have collected both control keys, go back to the device, survive the battle with the enemies and deactivate the first Strange Device.

Strange Device no.2

The first key is found by going down the hole that is covered with a tree, and it is on the left side of the second Strange Device.

You will find the second control key in an open room located near a ladder, all the way to the bottom part of the building.

Strange Device no. 3

For the third Strange Device, the first key is in the lone building, south-west of the device. To open the door of the building, just press the lever on the wall.

The second key is in the bottom floor of the large building, through the door, right in front of the third Strange Device. And the final key is in the room above.

Use the ramp in the corner of the room where you collected the second control key to reach the final key.

Strange Device no. 4

The first control key is located in the building below the tower, the second key is located down the hole where the fourth Strange Device is located, and you will find the final key by climbing through the corner of the bottom of the building where the Strange Device is located.

Strange Device no. 5

For the fifth Strange Device, you have to go to the main building where you will find it, and you will find the first key immediately when you go through the door on the right.

You will find the second key at the top of the same building. You can reach the top of the building by climbing through the hole in the corner.

Strange Device no.6

You can find the first key in the location on the map below. There, you have to climb through the hole that is in the corner of the building, just below the device.

You will find the second key by going to the eastern exit after collecting the first key, then climb a ladder at the entrance of the building on your left.

Strange Device no. 7
To find the first key, go up the stairs that are right next to the seventh Strange Device. Continue straight until you reach the hole in the building on your left.

Enter the building to collect the key.

You will find the final key in a small building located in the upper area of the camp.

Strange Device no. 8

Finally we come to the last, eighth Strange Device from this quest. The first key is located in the building on the left side of the device. To get to the key, you have to climb on the roof and go down the hole.

The second key is located in the building below the tower. You can get there by entering the hole in the corner of the wall. Congratulations, you have completed the quest and found all 8 Strange Devices along with their control keys.
