The Farmer and Alchemist are two of the many NPCs you can encounter in Enshrouded, as long as you know their locations.
Just like the other recruitable NPCs, these two reside within strange pods, just like the one you emerge from at the start of the game. They will both be a great asset for your continued survival, too!
In this guide, we’ll tell you where to find these two helpful NPCs so you can enlist their help.
Farmer & Alchemist Locations
Alchemist Location – Powerful Alchemy Quest
The Alchemist is, surprisingly, actually quite easy to reach. You should be Level 3, ideally, and have completed the first Elixir Well main quest. This will start the “Powerful Alchemy” quest for you.
The Alchemist’s Ancient Vault is to the northwest of the starting base you make in the game, as shown on the map above.
There are many humanoid enemies within the Ancient Vault, so be prepared for combat. That said, they aren’t particularly tough!
Other than that, you just have to make your way up the stairs until you reach the topmost room to find the Alchemist’s pod. Free him and you can summon him at your base!
The farmer is likely the last, or one of the last, NPCs that you will get. You will need to be at a pretty decent level, such as around Level 15.
The enemies in the way are no joke, and the terrain is a pain. You’ll need to go through the top part of the Alchemist’s Ancient Vault and past an Elixir Well, all of which has enemies and traps all over the place!
When you feel confident in your abilities, set out for the Ancient Vault to the north of the starting base.
Thankfully, the Ancient Vault itself is pretty barren and has few enemies inside of it. On the downside, you will need to solve a puzzle to reach the Farmer’s pod.
The puzzle itself is more of a skill test than a knowledge test, though. You can start it from the bridge in the center of the building, just grapple across the broken stairs to the west of the bridge.
Follow the linear path dealing with traps and flip 3 different switches to open all three locks!
Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
