That said, you can only add them as friends. For now, the multiplayer feature that lets us play with other players isn’t out yet.

How to Add Friends in Torchlight Infinite
The multiplayer feature was stated by the devs to be released in Season 3 of Torchlight Infinite. They stated that you won’t be able to play with other players when the game launches.
Luckily, the multiplayer feature has now finally been added to the game with the recent release of Season 3 of Torchlight Infinite.
With this, you can now play with your friends. To do so, you should first add them to your friends list so you can communicate with them easily anytime you want.
To do that, all you have to do is tap on the chat window in the bottom left corner of your screen. With the chat window now open, the next step is to tap on the Friends List icon as shown above.
Inside the Friends List window, you’ll be able to see the Recent Contact and Friends tabs. Keep in mind that you can only add up to 10 players as friends.
Once you’re ready to add someone, tap on the blank field next to the Request List button. Enter the name of the player you want to add then hit Ok.
You will then send an invitation to that player.
As soon as that player accepted your invitation, their name should then appear on the Friend tab.
Multiplayer in the game comes in the form of the Hunter’s Association system.
This allows you to join or create a Hunter’s Association where you can get to play and interact with other players.
