As a survival game, you will need to find a water source to sate your thirst in Occupy Mars: The Game.

Water is one of the most important resources we have in our world and a basic necessity for all living beings. However, it’s not quite as common on Mars, so you will need to put in some effort to find sources!

In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about finding and using water spots in Occupy Mars.

You can find water sources by using the Spectral Detector. Whip that bad boy out and it will let you know where the closest water source is.

However, sometimes it will just display an error message saying that water-bearing places are out of range! If this happens, you will need to get back on the rover and explore the planet.

Look for large darker patches of dirt. We recommend doing so during the day as well since it’s much easier to spot them. Nights can be quite dark on Mars!

You can do this anytime you need to find a water source since they are always found in the same way.

If you’re doing the tutorial quest that requires you to find a water source, you will need to mark it with your Spectral Detector once you find it. Simply press the Y key while holding the detector to do so.

Once you’ve marked it, open your tablet by pressing Tab and then open your Radar. Right-click on the water source and select “Track”.

After you do so, you will need to build a well to actually extract the precious liquid. The blueprint for the well can be found under Resources on your tablet and it requires the following materials:

  • Small Pipe x11
  • Aluminium Plate x2
  • Steel Plate x1
  • Solar Cells x5
  • Small Engine x3
  • Pack of Screws x5
  • Electronics x2

All of these materials can be found by exploring and dismantling the abandoned structures spread throughout Mars.

Once you have everything you need, place the good blueprint atop the water spot and build it, allowing you to start extracting water.

That’s everything you need to know about finding and using water sources in this game!
