The “Transition Skating 101” mission in Skate 4 is prone to a softlock bug, particularly in the “Complete the Session Challenge” step. What happens is that the required Session Challenge never appears at all. It’s not on the map, nor is it visible while you free roam. This bug isn’t even exclusive to this one mission, either, sadly. Nonetheless, we have some potential fixes to help work around this annoying issue.

How to Fix the “Complete The Session Challenge” Bug for Transition Skating 101 | Skate 4

Transition Skating 101 Step 3 in Skate 4

Before we begin, we want to note that the fixes we are about to tell you are not 100% guaranteed. The game is a bit messy right now, as you most likely know already if you’re reading this! So, even our potential fixes could end up not working to fix this odd bug.

With that said, the first potential fix we have is to just wait it out. Roam around the areas you have unlocked and try doing other Challenges if possible. Basically, just keep playing while waiting for it to hopefully fix itself. Moving from area to area seems to work best, as it can force the game to reload things.

Social & Spectate in the Hub | Skate 4

If that doesn’t work, you can try the same fix as the one for the map bug. That means, go into the Social & Spectate menu in the Hub.

Teleport or Spectate to player in Skate 4

Then, look for any random player and choose to either Teleport or Spectate. This will take you to wherever that other player is, which also forces the game to reload areas. With some luck, this can end up fixing the bug preventing you from completing the Session Challenge.

Untrack the Transition Skating 101 Step 3 in Skate 4

Another potential fix is to just untrack and re-track the “Transition Skating 101” mission. You can do that by just pressing X (PlayStation) or A (Xbox).

Lastly, if nothing else worked, you can try closing and restarting the game. This isn’t ideal, due to server queues to join a lobby, though. So, we only recommend it as a last resort! Even then, it’s still not a guaranteed fix.

Nonetheless, we hope at least one of these options helped fix the “Complete the Session Challenge” bug for the Transition Skating 101 mission in Skate 4. If it’s still bugged for you, you might just need to wait for updates and patches to address the issue, sadly…
