There seems to be an endless amount of tricks to learn in Skate 4. Many of them are meant to be discovered. The Inward Heelflip is one of those moves you learn as you go. Follow this guide to learn the move and complete your Trick of the Day challenge.
Difference Between Inward Heelflip & Standard Heelflip
The Inward Heelflip is a variation of the standard Heelflip. In the standard Heelflip, you kick your front foot outward so your heel can catch on the very edge of the nose of the board. Check out our guide here on how to execute the Heelflip. This causes your board to flip under you, in a horizontal motion.
The only difference in the Inward Heelflip is that the board spins frontside while the board flips under you. It looks like the board is moving forward, as it spins.

Guide to Inward Heelflip
Here are the inputs for both Xbox and PlayStation when you are in your regular stance:
- Roll the right stick down and to the right. This first move should look like a backslash (\).
- Quickly flick the right stick to the left to make the “cursor” straight down from the center of the circle.
- Now, swiftly flick the right stick diagonally to the top. This should look like a forward slash (/).

Mistakes & Tips
- If you pull too much to the right, you will execute a standard Heelflip.
- You need to keep your flicks tight. If they are too wide, they can easily turn into another trick.
- This move should happen while airborne, after the pop like an Ollie or Nollie.
- Practice, practice, practice
There’s no doubt that the Inward Heelflip is a tough trick to master, but once you do, you’ll stand out every skating session with a trick that is sure to impress.
