One of the new missions in Season 3 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 is “Smoking Gun”.
This Redacted Faction mission will require you to clear out a set of buildings, one of them being the U.S. Embassy in Al Mazrah. But first, you will need to get the key to the building!
So where can you find this key and how can you clear the US Embassy? That’s what we’re going to tell you in this guide.
How to Clear the US Embassy in DMZ
The US Embassy key, like most other keys in Warzone 2 DMZ, has a random chance to appear in a variety of places. It might be found by looting containers, supply drops, weapon crates, and the like.
Alternatively, it might be dropped by AI enemies that you kill, especially the High Interest Targets (HIT).
While the US Embassy building is located in Al Mazrah City, you can also get the US Embassy Key randomly on the Ashika Island map.
As you can see, there’s just no way to know where this key will appear. You just have to make sure to loot everything and everyone!
You might also be able to buy the key from Buy Stations if you have enough money to do so. It’s a bit of a shortcut if you get desperate while looting containers and enemies.
Once you acquire the key, make your way to the US Embassy in Al Mazrah City. The building is marked on your map.
Enter the building using your key and start taking out every hostile AI enemy. You need to make sure to take every single one of them out!
Check very thoroughly. The AI might get stuck in some spots sometimes, so they might be hiding. You might want to bring a UAV just to make finding them easier.
Also, note that there is another building close to the embassy. This building also counts for this objective, so make sure to check it out too if you can’t manage to get the objective to complete.
You will have to be thorough when looking for the key and when clearing out the building of hostiles. Just be patient and you will eventually get it!
