The Scavenger is one of the new bosses added in Season 3 of Warzone 2 DMZ. He drops Gold Skulls when killed and is also the only known source of Calling Cards.

However, he’s very tricky to find and fight against! If you have no idea how to find him, we don’t blame you.

In this guide, we’ll tell you what you need to know to find this sneaky boss.

The first thing to note is that the Scavenger is not limited to any one map in DMZ. He can appear in Al Mazrah and Ashika Island, so you can play on either map you wish.

Finding him is a lot trickier, however. He’s also fully decked out in black attire, so he can be tricky to spot in dark areas once he does appear!

The Scavenger doesn’t try to fight players directly. Instead, he primarily focuses on looting the backpacks of dead operators, as his name would suggest.

That means that the best way to make him appear is by simply killing enemy players. More corpses to loot will mean he’s more likely to appear on the map.

You will also want to stay near where the corpses are, so you don’t miss out on him when he does appear.

You should also make sure to complete Secure Intel Contracts that pop up, as they will make it easier to find the Scavenger when he spawns.

How to Kill the Scavenger

The Scavenger is very sneaky when it comes to fighting. He is usually accompanied by a squad of Shadow Company who will defend him.

Meanwhile, the Scavenger himself will instead try to escape. He will use smoke grenades to hide and reposition himself, choosing to avoid direct combat as much as possible.

Additionally, he will use the weapons he scavenges from dead players! This means that he might have some surprisingly good weapons sometimes, so there’s some variance to how strong he is.

Keep chasing him and corner him. He should go down quickly once you manage to stop him from fleeing.

Killing him will reward you with quite a lot of loot, including some rare items like Gold Skulls. A fitting reward for how much of a pain he is to hunt down!
