Considering that GTA 6 will not be released until 2025, players turned to GTA 5 Online (heavily modded GTA 5 but GTA 5 nonetheless) in hopes of satisfying their cravings for chaos, destruction, and some casual fun in our favorite virtual world of Los Santos.

A big part of GTA 5 Online are heists. Heists as you probably already know are missions where your sole purpose is to have your own game of Payday in GTA 5 solo or with friends!

Playing with friends is more fun, especially when you end up in prison together! But what if you don’t want to end up in jail? Well, today, we will give you a quick guide on how to cancel a heist anytime in GTA 5 Online!

Step-by-Step Heist Cancellation Guide

Follow along and you will learn how to cancel a heist anytime in GTA 5 Online. This is a step-by-step guide so we do recommend playing along for maximum efficiency.

Press up on the D-Pad when you are doing a heist. This will bring up your phone. Here, you need to go to your Contacts.

In the contacts, you want to find Lester. Once you do, call him. A list of options will appear. Here you can select the options to Remove your wanted level, Off the Radar option for 500$, Reveal Players (500$), Request a Job, Replay Heist, and most importantly, Cancel Heist.

Select this option and any ongoing heist will be canceled whenever you so wish.
