Low FPS and random drops in FPS can be very annoying, especially when playing a first-person shooter. Your FPS will mainly drop during action sequences, and this sucks out all the fun from a game.
HAWKEDis a very action-packed game with fun fast-paced gameplay. One of the biggest complaints players have had is low frame rates in the game. We will be looking at how you can work around this issue and increase your FPS in HAWKED.
How to Increase FPS
To increase FPS, you will need to tweak the in-game settings and other settings on your PC.It is important to note that the settings to Increase FPS are not focused on graphics. So, you will get good consistent performance, but graphics-wise it won’t be the best.
In-Game Settings
The first thing that you will need to do is make your way to the Video Settings in-game. the settings you need to change here are:
Display Mode – Fullscreen
Resolution – 16:9
VSync – off
Framerate Limit – Unlimited
Resolution Scale – 100
Other than the 5 settings above, also make sure that every graphics setting is set at low.
Once that is done, go on over to the Game Settings and scroll down till you find “Disable Camera Movement”. Turn this On, and then exit the game.
Steam Settings
After exiting the game, you will need to locate the games .exe file on your computer. An easy way to do this is by going by opening up the game properties from Steam. Inside the properties, head on over to the Installed Files section and press browse.
From here, you can open up Hawked.exe properties to access the Compatibility section. Turn on “Disable fullscreen optimizations, and then click on “Change high DPI settings”.
Doing this will open up another menu, whereyou will need to turn on “Override high DPI scaling behavior”. Below this, there is also a drop-down that lets you select how the scaling will be performed. Select Application from the drop-down.
Besides all the settings mentioned above, you will also need to go to your graphic card settings. Depending on the graphic card you have, go for lower performance for HAWKED to get the best FPS.
