In this guide, we will be looking at how you can make a server or join one your friend made. The overall process is fairly straightforward once you know what to do and get the hang of it.
How to Play With Friends
There are 2 ways in which you can play with your friends in Crag Game. You can either make your own server and have your friends join you, or join another friends server.
Making a Server
To create a server, you will first need to select the Start Game option from the main menu.
Selecting the option will then let you adjust the settings for your server. Over here you can change the “Lobby Type” for your server to “Friends”, which will only let people that you have added join your game.
Besides the Friends setting, you can also select the “LobbyCodeOnly” option for “Lobby Type”. If you choose the code option, then people will only be able to join your server using a specific code.
Once you are happy with all the settings, you can click on Create to create your server.
The server code for the “LobbyCodeOnly” server type can be accessed by pressing escape when inside the server. You can set the code to whatever you like and then send it to your friends.
On the top right corner of your screen, you can see how many players are currently in your lobby. Crab Game requires at least 2 players in the lobby for the game to start.
Joining a Friends Server
To join a friend’s server, you will need to select the Find Game option from the main menu.
Selecting this option will let you see all the servers that you can join. You can also join specific “LobbyCodeOnly” servers from here by entering the code for that lobby. Just enter the code in the relevant space and press Join Lobby to join the server.
Servers with codes required to join them make it much easier for you to join a specific server. Other than that, the codes help you control who can join a server.
