Flies. You can not free yourself from them, not even in the cozy farm simulator Coral Island. Luckily these insects are nowhere near as bothersome in the game as they are in real life, and like many other insects, you can catch them.

In this guide, we will teach you how to get a fly – or any other insect.

How to Get Fly in Coral Island

First, to catch any insect you will need to complete the quest Visit the Beach Shack. This is because it will let you meet Sunny and Eleanor, who will give you your insect net. With it you can get to bug-catching.

Making a catch is relatively simple. Using the net consumes energy, and you can find bugs almost anywhere. Flies specifically are cheeky ones that you will find even around town, while other insects prefer the beach and cavern.

The best time of the day to find bugs in the evening, when the villagers start preparing to sleep.

When you approach a bug an exclamation mark (!) appears over them, and a circle starts being filled. If you run towards a bug the chances are that it will get too scared and run away, so hold the left button of your mouse to make your character stalk slowly.

Some bugs you are able to get with the exclamation mark are not there, but others are a lot more attentive and will see you coming either way, for these you want to take it slow and judge whether you can make it to them before the circle is filled.

Being in range, just let go of the left button of your mouse and you will get them. They even come with records, showing you your biggest catch for each time!
