In every story, there is always an antagonist. And for your farm crops, those are the crows. These crows will come to your farm and destroy your crops just to steal your hard-earned harvests.
It will be a total waste of seeds, time, and effort if the crows will just take all your harvest away. To prevent that, make sure that you have a scarecrow on your farm.
During your early days on Coral Island, you will receive the quest Crows Be Gone. You will be tasked there to craft a scarecrow to drive away those silly crows.
However, crafting might be too confusing for new players. That being said, we made this guide to help you make your own scarecrows and scare away those farm thieves.
How to Craft Scarecrow on Coral Island
Crafting is pretty easy on Coral Island. You just have to find out what recipe or materials are needed to make one, and you can deploy yourself on foraging those items.
In terms of the Makeshift scarecrow, you will just need 15 pieces of wood and 10 pieces of trash. You can check this by accessing the Crafting tab, and selecting the Makeshift scarecrow.
Now that you already know the needed materials, you can now explore the area to find some.
You can get wood by chopping down trees, while trashes by removing them using a scythe. But if you already have these ready in your Materials storage, you can just transfer them to your backpack.
Once materials are complete, drag the Makeshift scarecrow to your backpack. And it’s ready to be crafted.
To use the Makeshift scarecrow, select it from your backpack and pick the area where you want to put it. Take note that the highlighted area is the only scope of this specific scarecrow. Crops that are outside this area can still be attacked by crows.
