Wuthering Waves: Operation Lunar Duo | Build Puppet Theater Guide

While preparing for the Moon-Chasing Festival in Wuthering Waves‘ latest event, you’ll eventually be tasked with building a Puppet Theater. Building the theater is essential to progressing the festival preparation quests and boosting your overall Popularity.

Additionally, building the Puppet Theater will also unlock a cool new side quest called Operation Lunar Duo. Our guide will be looking at how to build the Puppet Theater for the festival preparations quest, and what you need to do to complete Operation Lunar Duo.

Building the Puppet Theater

The game will task you with building the Puppet Theater during the “Festival Preparations IV” quest.

Like other similar stalls in this game, you can build the Puppet Theater through the Wishing Stall found at the event location. Building the Pupper Theater will require you to have 80000 Operation Funds. This is a big increase from the previous stalls you will have built so far.

If you don’t have the Operation Funds on you, use Lodge Wishes to get the required amount.

Once you have 80000 Operation Funds in your possession, you can build the Puppet Theater. The Pupper Theater will boost your overall Popularity and increase your wish positive rating chance.

To complete the “Festival Preparations IV” quest, you will also need to build “Hsin’s Fortuity” and “Swim, Gulpuff, Swim”. So make sure you build both of those stalls after building the Puppet Theater.

Operation Lunar Duo

After building the Puppet Theater, open up the quest menu to find the Operation Lunar Duo side quest. You can track the quest from here by clicking on track.

For the first part of the quest, you will need to make your way to the Puppet Theater you just built. When you get there, you will find Yinlin standing right next to the Puppet Theater. Talk to her to progress the quest.

After talking to her, you will need to purchase puppets for the Puppet Theater. The puppets you need can be purchased from the Pioneer Association Shop in Jinzhou city. When you get to the shop, just select the “Purchase the puppets” option to get the puppets.

For the next part of the quest, you will need to head on over to the edge of a cliff to eavesdrop on the target’s talking. The game will guide you to where you need to go for this.

After you are done scouting the targets, you will need to show up at a different spot for a meeting between 2 am and 4 am. This spot is less than 100 meters away from the spot you were eavesdropping from. You can only progress this part of the quest if you are at the location between 2 am and 4 am. So make sure the time is correct.

For the last part of the quest, you will need to defeat the offending Tacet Discords(TDs). This is the only combat part of the whole Operation Lunar Duo quest. Once you’ve defeated the TDs, go through the various cutscenes to complete the quest.

Finishing the side quest will unlock Yinlin as a new companion for you within the Wishing Stall. Alongside Yinlin, you will also unlock a bunch of other valuable items and resources, so make sure you don’t miss out.
