Wuthering Waves: Moonlit Reunion Guide

Wuthering Waves gets its 1.2 update, with the new “By Moon’s Grace” event which you can start after completing the “Moonlit Reunion” quest.

“Moonlit Reunion” is the tutorial quest for the event, so it’ll primarily serve to set the stage for what’s to come. Completing it is a requirement for starting the new event, as it introduces us to the Moon-Chasing Festival.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to easily complete this quest so you can start the “By Moon’s Grace” event!

Moonlit Reunion | Wuthering Waves Guide

“Moonlit Reunion” is the first quest of the “By Moon’s Grace” event in Wuthering Waves 1.2. So, to start it, you must first unlock Events by reaching Union Level 17 and completing Main Quest Chapter 1 Act 3: Ominous Star. Once you’ve done so, go to the city of Jinzhou in Huanglong.

A conversation will play out with Yangyang and Chixia, introducing you to the Moon-Chasing Festival taking place in Taoyuan Vale. Simply watch the scenes play out and you’ll be teleported to Taoyuan Vale.

Once you’re at Taoyuan Vale, you have to find Yangyang, Chixia, and Baizhi. Thankfully, they’re right in front of you and to your right, as shown in the image above. Approach them and talk with them to learn more about the Moon-Chasing Festival.

Right as the conversation ends, go up the stairs directly in front of you to encounter a strange floating round robot. Another cutscene will play out, so just enjoy watching the event!

Finding Patty’s Origins

Now, you have no idea where this robot came from, just that it’s named Patty. After the scene ends, talk with the first passerby directly in front of you and ask them about Patty’s origins.

This robot seems to be related to the ongoing festival and should be directly tied to the Wishing Tree. So, your goal is to go up the stairsand follow the path to reach the top of Taoyuan Vale. You’ll eventually find the Wishing Tree itself at the very top part of town.

A cutscene will play out once you reach the Wishing Tree, and you’ll get to return Patty to Xiangli Yao. Xiangli Yao then suggests using the Wishing Stall to continue the conversation. Just go west from the Wishing Tree and glide back down into Taoyuan Vale to find the Wishing Stall.

Talk with Patty and Xiangli Yao to finish the Moonlit Reunion quest in Wuthering Waves. You can now do the first proper part of the “By Moon’s Grace” event, Wish Upon the Moon 1: Cry of the Soul!
