The Mutant version of the Bell-less Crab is one of the rare sea critters you can catch during the “Old Man and the Whale” event in Wuthering Waves 2.1.
This mutated crab has a unique color scheme that sets it apart from its peers. It’s also specifically required for certain fishing Requests, such as “No Bell Please.” As you might imagine, though, being a mutant means it’s also extremely rare!
In this guide, we’ll tell you everything we can to help you catch a Mutant Bell-less Crab in Wuthering Waves.
You can find Bell-less Crabs around the Port of Riccioli, mostly in the Shallow waters. We’ve marked the general Port of Riccioli area above. It has no set time, either. It spawns both during the day and night.
Now, similar to the hunt for Feather Stars, we recommend using the in-game quest tracking if possible. If you’re trying to get the Mutant Bell-less Crab as part of the “No Bell Please” request, start tracking it. This will highlight Fishing Spots that are most likely to have this specific crab, making it easier to find. The highlighted spots will have a purple fish icon above them and in the minimap, as shown above.
That said, the Mutant version of the Bell-less Crab is also very rare. You’ll likely need to try multiple fishing spots before you find one. After all, what you get from fishing is largely random in this game. For reference, though, you can see what the Mutant Bell-less Crab looks like above. It has a purple and yellow color scheme, unlike the regular Bell-less Crabs.
Ultimately, finding this sea critter is going to require some patience and luck. Just keep fishing in the shallow waters around the Port of Riccioli and you’re sure to catch it eventually! Remember, the Mutant is purple and yellow while the regular Bell-less Crabs are blue. Keep an eye out for its unique color so that you don’t accidentally throw it away.
Nonetheless, that’s all we can tell you to help catch the Mutant Bell-less Crab in Wuthering Waves 2.1. We wish you the best of luck on your fishing trips!
