164 articles“Of Motes and Husks” is one of the many quests you can take on in the K’aresh region in WoW: The War Within. Driruj at the Eco-Dome: Primus wants your help gathering some materials. They’re required to stabilize the dome’s glass… and to make some very pleasing beverages! I mean, you’re already going to be in the area, so you might as well gather both things at once. Anyway, we’ll tell you how to easily start and finish this little quest.
Of Motes and Husks Quest | WoW: The War Within
To start this quest, you need to head to The Oasis in K’aresh. Look around the southeastern corner of The Oasis to find an NPC called Driruj, talk to him to accept the quest. For the coordinates to this NPC’s location, go to around 76.64, 34.47.
For this quest, you need to collect 4 Softly Swirling Motes and 6 Krolusk Husks. You can get Softly Swirling Motes from Dune Wyrms. On the other hand, the Krolusk Husks drop from the Gritshell Krolusks. You can see an example of both enemy types in the screenshot above, so that you know what to look for.
As for where to find these enemies… well, they’re honestly all over the place outside The Oasis’ immediate vicinity! They’re plentiful and easy to spot, so you just need to walk around outside The Oasis to find them. It’s also worth noting that some players report that Sand Striders in the area also drop Krolusk Husks, so it’s worth killing them when you see them too.

There also seems to be a bug where the game will prevent you from hitting enemies, particularly the Grishell Krolusks, with a message saying “Your vision of the target is obscured…” If this happens to you, kite the mobs near a mob you can hit and then use AoE attacks.
Once you’ve collected enough Softly Swirling Motes and Krolusk Husks, simply return to Driruj at 76.64, 34.47. Turn the quest in and you’re all done with the “Of Motes and Husks” quest in WoW: The War Within!
