The “Midnight: World Tour” quest in World of Warcraft (WoW) is a weekly world quest that tasks you with completing various objectives across the new areas in the expansion.

You’ll need to do at least one different thing in each of the major regions. Defend a Runestone, complete Abundance events, learn about legends, and defend the Stormarion Citadel… it’s all pretty rewarding!

In this guide, I’ll tell you how to start and complete every step of this quest.

How to Start the Midnight: World Tour Quest

Thankfully, starting this quest is surprisingly easy. All you need to do is to ask Lor’themar Theron in the center of Silvermoon City, at coordinates 45.4, 70.6.

If you want, you can also optionally ask him for more details. This isn’t really necessary, since I’m about to tell you everything you need anyway! But you have the option, if you so wish.

Either way, this quest consists of 4 main objectives, so let’s go over each one of them next.

Defend a Runestone at Saltheril’s Soiree in Eversong

This is a pretty involved objective, but I’ll try to be brief to help you do it as fast as possible. If you want a much more detailed explanation, though, check out our dedicated guide on this objective.

For this one, you’ll first need to complete all of the “Saltheril’s Haven” quests by talking to Lord Saltheril. You can find him at coordinates 42.6, 47.2 in Eversong Woods.

Upon completing those quests, you’ll decide on a faction to help for the week. After deciding, find your faction’s representative in Saltheril’s Haven and start the “Fortifying the Runestones” quest.

Next, you’ll need to get Latent Arcana. You primarily get that resource by completing your chosen faction’s quests and exploring the Eversong Woods, as it also drops from Rares and Treasures.

When you have some Latent Arcana, track the “Fortifying the Runestones” quest on your map. It’ll point you to the Runestone you need to defend, which is the next place you need to go to.

Once you’re at the Runestone, spend your Latent Arcana on it until you get its Runic Shield Charge to 100%. Then, defeat the enemies that appear and you’ll have completed the objective!

Complete an Abundance Event in Zul’Aman

For this objective, you’ll first need to have unlocked Abundance events. For that, complete “The Abundant Lands” and subsequent quests from Chel the Chip at the Amani’Zar Village in Zul’Aman. Her coordinates are roughly 45.02, 67.57.

After you’ve completed those quests, you can start the Abundance event in Zul’Aman by going to Loaknit Den. It’s the same den you do the tutorial quests in, located at coordinates 31.59, 26.27.

Talk to Dundun, the Loa of Abundance, there and choose to Harvest. Then you just need to finish the Abundance event, which works mostly the same as the tutorial you did before.

If you want a more detailed walkthrough of the tutorial quests and event, check out our guide on how to complete an Abundance event in Zul’Aman.

Learn About a Legend of the Haranir in Harandar

To do this, you’ll need to complete one of the “Lost Legends” quests. To start, first do the “Legendary Prosperity” quest for Naynar in Harandar.  She’s at The Den, at coordinates 50.98, 50.77.

When you’ve done that, you’ll then need to go talk to Zur’ashar Kassameh. He’s in the eastern part of The Den, at coordinates 54.19, 53.09. Accept the “Lost Legends” quest from him.

Now, you’ll need to choose one of the Relics on the displays behind Zur’ashar Kassameh. Each one has a unique quest, so your next steps will vary depending on which one you pick.

However, on the upside, all of the Relics have very simple and straightforward quests. They’re mostly for flavor, as you learn about the legends of the Haranir… just like the objective says, I guess!

Either way, all you need to do is to complete your chosen Relic’s unique quests and you’re all done with this objective. If you need more help with this objective, check out our dedicated guide for it.

Defend the Singularity During Stormarion Assault in Voidstorm

Out of all of the “Midnight: World Tour” objectives, this is the most straightforward. For this one, participate in the Stormarion Assault at the Stormarion Citadel in Voidstorm. It’s around coordinates 25.0, 68.0.

For the sake of doing this objective, I highly recommend only participating if you can be there from start to finish. Otherwise, you may not get credited. The event repeats every 30 minutes.

Similarly, some players say they did not get credited until they completed the “Go Low, Go Loud” quest. This seems to be an odd bug, but it might be a good idea to do that first, as well.

This event is a sort of tower defense minigame where you need to fend off waves of enemies while protecting the Singularity Anchor, which is the central structure surrounded by a red ring.

Before the first wave, you and all other participating players can interact with various nodes (shown as glowing blue spots) to place defenses. These will help deal with enemies, so plan carefully. You have 5 minutes before the first wave.

Once the timer’s up, the first wave of enemies will spawn. Use the defenses you’ve placed and fight them off, ensuring the Singularity isn’t destroyed! Every enemy wave lasts 3 minutes.

After you survive a wave, you’ll get about 30 seconds to place additional defenses. Then another wave of enemies, for a total of 3 waves.

Manage to survive all 3 enemy waves without the Singularity Anchor being destroyed and you’ll complete the event successfully! Thus, you’ll also check off the objective for “Midnight: World Tour.”

Wrappin Up

As you can see, the “Midnight: World Tour” quest in WoW doesn’t lie about its name! It really is a world tour for the next expansion, with how involved most of these steps are.

Nonetheless, now you know how to complete each one of these. Remember that this is a weekly quest, too, so you’ll want to do them multiple times. I hope this all helped make things a bit easier for you, at least!
