Power Armour is one of the most powerful pieces of gear in the Warhammer universe, and Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is no exception.
As you can imagine, though, getting your hand on this highly-coveted armour is no easy feat. In fact, you can’t get it until you’re quite deep into the game.
In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to know to get your hands on Power Armour.
Where To Get Power Armour in Rogue Trader
Power Armour in Rogue Trader is extremely uncommon, so you can only get it very late into the game. More specifically, you’ll need to be in Act 4 of the game.
Once you’ve managed to progress the story that far, you’ll need to make heavy use of the game’s Colony mechanics.
You’ll need to complete Colony Projects that help you ingratiate yourself with the Drussians. They have Power Armour sets for trade, but only once you reach Reputation Level 29 with them.
You should also make sure to save up for these sets, as well! They’re not cheap at all, with them costing around 100 Profit Factors each.
One of the sets is exclusive for Pasqal, as well, but the other set can be used by your Rogue Trader. That is, as long as you pick up the Power Armour Proficiency talent during a level-up!
Your Rogue Trader needs to have at least 45 strength to learn the Power Armour Talent. It works just like the Heavy Armor Proficiency talent.
Additionally, and this is a bit into spoiler territory, you should get the Wolfskin if you recruit the Ulfar of the Space Wolves at Commorragh Anatomical Opera during Act 3.
Sadly, you can miss recruiting him, so make sure to stay on the lookout for him during your playthrough.
To make matters worse, some players report that the game is bugged and they didn’t receive the Wolfskin armor by recruiting him. We hope that’s fixed quickly!
Lastly, Argenta may be able to acquire a Power Armour for herself if you complete her Personal Quests. Of course, this is exclusive to Argenta and can’t be worn by anyone else.
But there you have it, that’s everything we know about Power Armour in Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader!
Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
