One of the recent additions to Warframe comes in the form of the War Prime weapon. In case you’re wondering, the War Prime is essentially the Primed version of the legendary weapon wielded by Hunhow.
Of course, as with most things in Warframe, getting your hands on this weapon requires a lot of grind. And if you don’t know how and where to get it, this guide is for you.
How to Get the War Prime in Jade Shadows Constellation in Warframe
Getting the War Prime is actually pretty simple. All you need to do is buy and build Hunhow’s Trinket, which you can find from Hunhow who is located in Pontis Tower.
But in order to access his shop, you first need to complete the Jade Shadows Constellations quest. After completing the quest, head to Pontis Tower and fast travel to Hunhow’s location.

Interact with him to access his shop and look for an item called Hunhow’s Trinket Blueprint. You’ll need 12 Crimson Talent and 12 Emerald Talent to obtain it. You can farm them from Ryoku and Vena missions.
Fortunately, you only really need to finish each mission to get enough talents to purchase the blueprint. Once you have the blueprint, you can then craft it via your Foundry using the following materials:
- 15,000 Credits
- 1 Orokin Cell
- 1 Argon Crystal
- 5 Nitain Extract
These materials are quite easy to farm by the way, so you should be able to start the crafting process almost immediately.

After you’ve started the crafting process, all you have to do is wait for 12 hours to claim the weapon.
Is the War Prime Worth Crafting?
Personally, yes. Most of the melee weapons in Warframe are actually quite good. Besides, its non-Primed version, the War heavy blade, has been in the game for nearly 7 years already.
If you’re one of those who have played the game for a long time, finally getting your hands on the weapon’s Primed version is rather exciting. After all, it’s yet another Primed weapon that you can add to your arsenal.

Stats-wise, the War Prime comes with increased damage, critical multiplier, and status chance. Not only that, but it also comes with a free weapon slot and a pre-installed Orokin Catalyst. Besides, it looks cool as hell, which is something that you’d want to use as your primary melee weapon if you’re into heavy swords.
That’s pretty much it. As you can see, getting the War Prime in Warframe isn’t really that hard. Perhaps the hardest part of it all is actually waiting for 12 hours to finish crafting it.
Or if you’re rich enough, you can just skip the wait using Platinums.
