Throne & Liberty has been adding more and more stuff for players to grind for and further increase the effectiveness of their own builds, even if just by a marginal amount. With the introduction of more ways to get chaos runes comes a lot of grinding in an effort to min-max one’s setup. In this guide, we will be covering one way to cheese a certain dimensional trial for faster chaos rune acquisition.
Valley of Slaughter Dimensional Trial Solo Bug | Fast Chaos Runes Exploit
There are a few ways to grind for chaos runes at the moment, and this includes either using the Material Transmutation feature or doing dimensional trials at tier 5 or above. The Valley of Slaughter dimensional trial, specifically, has a cheesy strategy that makes use of a bug.
First, you will need the Opal Dracoryft Turtle morph unlocked. In order to get this, you simply have to head over to the Syleus’ Abyss open world dungeon. In case you have not unlocked the fast travel points there yet, you will need to fight your way to the 5th floor.
Once you make it to the fifth floor, all you need to do is read the note on the ground right beside the stairs leading down. That is all, as you should now have the Opal Dracoryft Turtle in the “Swim” category of morphs.
With that morph equipped, start up a Valley of Slaughter dimensional trial and then, rather than starting it normally, run over to the puddle of water that is partially inside the starting zone.
Keep running over it until your character morphs into the turtle. Once you turn into a turtle, you have to brute force your way through the barrier. By shoving your face at the edges of the barrier, you will eventually phase through.
Once you get past it as a turtle, you will notice that the timer will not tick down as you roam the dungeon this way. By doing this, you can clear the trash mobs all throughout the level and then leave the entirety of the timer solely for the boss fight.
That is basically the whole strategy revolving around this bug, which may or may not be fixed once the developers catch wind of its existence. This exploit will give you more than enough time to focus on beating the boss with very little to no pressure.
Until this is removed, you can use it to clear Valley of Slaughter with ease and potentially get those chaos rune rewards. Now get out there and start grinding hard while you can!
