During the Lunar New Year festivities, Throne & Liberty has a special event that will last until the 13th of February. Throughout this period, there are various unique rewards to earn and shops that offer certain items for a limited time only. In this guide, we will be going over how you can very quickly amass a lot of Chaos Runes during the Lunar Celebration event!

How to Get Chaos Runes & Max Level 60 Runes Fast (Jan 2025)

Simply put, until the Lunar Celebration event is over, the New Year Coin Exchange Merchant will be open up until around February 12. This NPC offers a lot of useful resources, including a Rare Chaos Rune Selection Chest, which guarantees one of a specific type of Chaos Rune of your choice.

This event NPC can be found in most hub areas, and you can buy up to 10 Rare Chaos Rune Selection Chests per week at the cost of five New Year Coins each. These coins can be acquired through various activities in the game, such as:

  • Daily Login Rewards on certain days.
  • Sending out Amitoi Expeditions, with each hour giving you a coin.
  • Completing contracts around the map.
  • Completing dungeons and dimensional trials.

To help speed up the rune leveling process as well, you can purchase the Rune Category Selection Chest from the same event NPC. These have a weekly limit of 40 and cost the same per box, so you will need to farm up a ton of New Year Coins if you want to maximize the use of this shop before it goes away.

That is really all there is to it. Once the Lunar Celebration event goes away, you may want to check out our guide on how to get chaos runes quickly and easily in Throne & Liberty as you will no longer have the guaranteed weekly chests to rely on.
