There are a lot of specialized workshops you can make in This War of Mine, but few are as crucial to your survival as the Rainwater Collector. With it, you can gather clear water for cooking and making alcohol. But you might be stressing over where to put this contraption, to get the most of your resources.

Where to Put Rainwater Collector in This War of Mine

In reality, it doesn’t really matter where you’ll place your Rainwater Collector, as it will always produce 4 units of clear water, as long as you’ll always supply the Collector with filters. But, since the placement doesn’t affect the production, you should place them near your regular traveling routes to cut the time needed to interact with everything in your shelter.

But Sometimes, My Rainwater Collector Doesn’t Work!

There are two possible reasons for that.

First, the Collector only produces clean water during warm weather, so once winter comes around, you won’t be able to interact with it. Instead, you’re expected to shovel the snow and melt it in the stove to get clean water.

But there is also a bug that, for some reason, will make your Rainwater Collector unusable. On top of that, it seems like there is no way to fix it, other than making another one, which can also be bugged later.
