In STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, there are all kinds of loot that you can find throughout the Zone, whether through dead STALKERS or containers scattered all around the game world. One instance that might frustrate you is a dead body in the barn just a few steps away from Pomor’s place in the poppy fields. Here is how you can loot it!
How to Loot the Body in the Barn Attic in the Poppy Fields Near Pomor’s House
If you are here, then you have probably already tried everything to get up to that elevated spot. Luckily, you do not actually have to be up there to loot the dead body. Instead, there are a few ways to sort of “cheat” the system.
The game’s wonky collision actually works in your favor as well, since you can jump up and spam the search button until the interface pops up. As long as the option pops in for a brief moment, there is a chance that you can get it open.
Aside from that, you can also prop yourself up on the table or the broken nightstand at the side of the building. By standing on top of either of these, you should be able to get a good enough angle to search the body without all the jumping.
Luckily, the body itself is also slightly clipping through the ceiling. This makes it easy to find where you are supposed to look regardless of what method you are going to try.
That is pretty much everything you need to know in order to loot that corpse up top. The game is still in the process of being patched for various reasons, especially since their A-Life system is still broken, so maybe a fix that lets you reach this body normally will come eventually. For now, though, we just work around the jank!
Franco is a writer and avid gamer who spends a lot of his free time looking for the next obscure indie roguelike to add to his collection. If he’s not busy working or writing on his personal blog, there’s also a non-zero chance that you stumble into him in pretty much any multiplayer game that has SEA or OCE servers. He’s pretty good at anything unless it’s a fighting game, in which case you’d probably body him.
