Snake Bananza – Charged Climb Guide in Donkey Kong Bananza
The Charged Climb challenge is a side scrolling platformer section where you have to use the aforementioned ability to reach high ground and navigate your way to the end of the level.
Along the way, there are a bunch of banana gems that you can collect, some of which are easy to miss and you might accidentally pass if you were not being thorough enough. To help you out, let us go over how you find them!
After jumping through the first few obstacles in the challenge level, which have violet blocks that you must avoid, you will eventually come across a tall wall with a suspiciously white floor below.

Sharpshooter Scramble Guide in Donkey Kong BananzaJul 20, 2025Before you jump up to higher ground and proceed through the rest of the challenge, quickly break through this floor to fall into a secret room that contains your first banana gem. Once you are done here, use the barrel nearby to shoot yourself back up into the proper path.
The barrel will shoot you through an invisible tunnel, and you will be placed right beside yet another banana gem, which is the first non-secret one in the level. Pick it up and continue with the rest of the challenge!
Once you are done here, you just need to keep using your charged spring jumps to reach the end of the level, where you will find another banana gem that you can collect.
That is really all there is to this challenge. It is extremely simple and straightforward, and the only thing you need to worry about is the secret banana gem hidden early in the level. Make sure to hurry up once you are headed to the exit, as the violet wall of almost certain death will be rushing to shove you off!
