Sharpshooter Scramble is the 5th Challenge Course of the Tempest Layer in Donkey Kong Bananza. This challenge will have you scrambling your way along moving walls. The trick is that, as the name implies, snipers will be trying to take shots at you the whole time. Dodge their shots and scramble over the walls to get 3 more Banandium Gems. We’ll tell you how to easily complete this!

Slip by the Snipers

The first Banandium Gem in this stage is nearly unmissable, and you can get it right by the start. It’s on the safe platform you land on after using the first two barrels in the level. The snipers can’t get you here, either, so it’s pretty safe to pick up!

Now, as a tip for this level as a whole, you likely already noticed the gimmick. Snipers will try to snipe you down whenever you’re hanging from any of the moving floating walls in the level. To avoid taking damage, make sure to be quick and stay on the move.

Most importantly, the snipers stop tracking you shortly before firing. This allows you to easily avoid shots as long as you just move out of the way at the last second.

However, do be warned that their shots can temporarily break chunks of the walls you’re on. It should regenerate before they fire again, but it still can make things tricky sometimes! Try to stick to the edge of platforms so that their shots don’t break the center of them.

With that said, let’s go over how to nab the 2 other Banandium Gems here.

Sniper-Free Safe Spot

You can start to get this Banandium Gem when you take the barrel to the final section of the level. It’s the barrel shown above.

In this section, you’ll shortly come across a purple platform that moves up and down above another steel platform. Wait for the purple platform to come down and then use it to go across to the platform with the 4 gold balls.

Once you’ve crossed that spot, you just need to continue moving to the right by using the moving platforms. You’ll eventually reach a solid safe platform you can land on, the Banandium Gem is there. The snipers will also cease fire for a bit, giving you time to chill! When you’re ready to continue, jump into the nearby barrel.

Scramble through the Snipers

This Banandium Gem is right at the end of the level, so you can’t miss it. To get to the end of the level, you need to take the moving platform shown above and go all the way up. This will be directly above you as soon as you take the barrel from the Sniper-Free Safe Spot banana.

To open up a path here, you’ll need to climb up and wait on either of the concrete squares shown above. Let the snipers shoot them to break them for you, making a way. Be careful not to get shot, though!

Once the snipers fire and break the concrete, crawl through the hole and use the lone barrel behind the hole. It will fire you toward the final platform, where the Banandium Gem waits by the exit barrel. Smash the banana and exit the level to finish it.

That’s all you need to know to get all the Banandium Gems in the Sharpshooter Scramble level in Donkey Kong Bananza. Want to do a race to take a break from getting shot at? Check out our guide on the Rowdy Race for Diddy and Dixie!
