Skate 4 has a lootbox system called Product Boxes, which allows you to get free cosmetics and items by earning Rip Chips. Rip Chips are a sort of free currency you get by playing the game. Trade them in to the in-game shop to cash them out for Product Boxes. What you get is mostly a mystery, but you’ll get something! Read on, we’ll explain how to get more Rip Chips and Product Boxes.

How to Get Rip Chips and Get Free Product Boxes | Skate 4

Rip Chips as Challenge rewards in Skate 4

First things first, you’ll need to get Rip Chips, as mentioned before. Those are mainly obtained by completing the various Goals for every Challenge. Each Goal has an assigned number of Rip Chips it gives as a reward, which are the golden hexagon-shaped badges next to the Goal. Essentially, these are your “free” currency in this game.

Daily Tasks in Skate 4

Aside from Challenges, you can also get them by completing all of your Daily Tasks. This gives a pretty substantial amount, so it’s worth keeping an eye out for.

Product Boxes in Skate 4

Once you have accrued enough Rip Chips to your liking, you just need to visit the Product Box section of the shop. You can quickly access the Product Boxes from all of the neighborhood’s shops from that section.

You can then just buy any Product Box you want, spending only the Rip Chips you’ve accumulated. Do note, more Product Boxes will unlock as you increase your Rep and rank for each neighborhood! You can also preview the box’s contents by pressing Square (PlayStation) or X (Xbox).

So, there you have it! That’s how to get the free Product Boxes with Rip Chips in Skate 4. Ultimately, it all boils down to playing the game to get more currency to spend. Plus, randomization means you might not exactly get what you want when opening a box. But well, it’s nice to get some extra items.
