Boardslide and Lipslide are a pair of grind tricks you can do in Skate 4. These tricks are pretty similar, so they’re generally grouped together. To do them, you need to make sure that you grind with the very center of your board! How can you ensure that you do that? Well, that’s exactly what we’re going to explain in detail in this guide!

How to Boardslide or Lipslide | Skate 4

While the Boardslide and Lipslide are both different grind tricks, the inputs for them are pretty similar and simple. They are as follows for each trick:

  • Boardslide – Move the right stick to the right before landing a grind.
  • Lipslide – Move the right stick to the right before landing a grind.

For further reference, you can see a clip showing both of these tricks above.

Now, do keep in mind that just the input alone isn’t all there is to do! You’ll also need to be mindful of how you land a grind when going for these tricks. More specifically, you need to make sure that you land with the center of your board.

Landing with the tip will result in a Noseslide, while landing with the back will result in a Tailslide. These are obviously different tricks, so they will not count for Challenges that require either a Boardslide or Lipslide.

As for the difference between Boardslide and Lipslide, there isn’t really much of a difference. They just have you facing different ways while grinding. Generally speaking, most Challenges lump both tricks together due to this.

So, there you have it! Now you know how to do a Boardslide and a Lipslide in Skate 4. It’s certainly a lot easier than pulling off an Airwalk trick, for example. Nonetheless, it’ll still require some practice to pull off consistently. But we know you can do it!
