The Ebisugaoka Middle School in Silent Hill f has numerous different tricks, puzzles, and traps. One of the trickiest can be the Secret Box puzzle in the Classroom. Follow this guide to learn every solution, no matter what difficulty you are playing on.

How to find the Secret Box Puzzle

You will go to the second floor of the middle school. The Ebisugaoka Middle School has several puzzles in it, and if you’re having trouble even getting to the second floor, check out our guide on all the school locker codes for the first floor.

There is only one classroom open on the 2nd Floor, and when you enter it, you will end up trapped until you can solve the Secret Box puzzle.

There will be an Unopened Envelope next to the box; you must read this before attempting to open the box. The envelope provides clues that are intended to help you open the Secret Box.

The Secret Box is a 3-stage puzzle. So once you solve the first stage, another Unopened Envelope will appear with another hint. Once you solve all three stages, you will receive the Second Floor Generic Classroom Key and can move through the story and escape from the Classroom.

Story Difficulty

In this difficulty, you are only able to move the white tiles. You want to rotate the white tiles so that all of the symbols matching the clue are shown on their respective faces.

Each envelope gives a key phrase that clues you in. The first is sweet fruits, the second is journals, and the third is Sakura.

1st Stage

Reveal the cherry and strawberry. The cherry is on one side and the strawberry is on the other.

2nd Stage

Reveal 3 books. There are 2 books on one side and 1 on the other.

3rd Stage

You will only reveal one tile: a cherry blossom branch.

Hard Difficulty

In this mode, you can only move the brown tiles. But these are two-sided. So instead of only being able to move one big tile, you can move two on one row.

There are no highlighted words in the envelopes; however, the keywords are sweet and tart fruit, journal, and sakura in full bloom.

1st Stage

On one side, there will be an apple, a cherry, and an orange. On the other side, you will reveal a strawberry, a pineapple, and grapes.

2nd Stage

There are 4 books. There will be one book on one side and three on the other.

3rd Stage

There are three Sakura branches. One is on one side and two are on the other.

Lost in the Fog Difficulty

In Lost in the Fog mode, every tile and slat is available to move. Making it a bit more difficult.

The keywords for this mode will be: sweet and tart fruit, journal, and sakura in full bloom.

1st Stage

There are six tiles in this stage. On one side, there will be a cherry, berries, a strawberry, and a pineapple on one side of the box. On the other side, there will be an orange and an apple.

2nd Stage

There are a total of five books on this stage. Four of the books are on one side, and one is on the other.

3rd Stage

There are 4 cherry blossom tiles. There are 3 on one side of the box and 1 on the other.

And that is how you solve the Secret Box puzzle on every difficulty in Silent Hill f. It can be tricky and somewhat confusing, no matter what difficulty you play on. So, you can now continue through the story and continue to face the horrors throughout the game.
