If you want to see everything Silent Hill f has to offer, you’ll need to get all of its endings. Uniquely, though, you can only get one ending on your first playthrough. However, beating the game once will unlock New Game+, which allows you to access extra content… including alternate endings! Eager to see what’s happening in Ebisugaoka? Read on, we’ll tell you how to get the endings while keeping spoilers to a minimum! Remember, though, these are only for New Game+.

How To Get All Endings | Silent Hill f

Home to Roost

Hinako Promo Shot | Silent Hill f

This is the game’s default ending, and the only one you can get in your first playthrough. So, essentially, just beat the game once and you’ll get this one! You’ll also get it automatically if you fail to meet the conditions for any of the alternate endings in New Game+.

Fox’s Wedding

Dark Shrine Promo Shot | Silent Hill f

This is generally considered the game’s “bad” ending. If you want to see why that is, you’ll need to meet the following criteria:

  • Didn’t take the red capsules. This means not consuming any of them during the whole playthrough. It’s also recommended not to pick them up at all, especially at Shu’s Workshop on your 4th visit to Ebisugaoka.
  • Purified the Sacred Sword, or didn’t obtain it. We recommend just ignoring it entirely for this ending, although obtaining it and purifying it right now could make it easier to get other endings. We’ll explain this in more detail later.
  • Obtained the Agura no Hotei-sama. This is a special item you can find after reaching the Main Hall where the three rituals took place in the Dark Shrine. Note that the in-game item name is actually “Hotei-sama Sitting Cross-legged.”

Your main goal here is the Agura no Hotei-sama. To find it, you’ll need to go to a secret area in the Main Hall of the Dark Shrine, as mentioned before. Follow the clip above for the exact route.

You’ll get this ending as long as you have the Agura no Hotei-sama, don’t consume red capsules, and don’t have the Sacred Sword (or have it purified).

The Fox Wets Its Tail

Dark Shrine Promo Shot | Silent Hill f

This is the “simplest” of the alternate endings you can get in New Game+, as it only has two requirements:

  • Didn’t take the red capsules. As before, this means not consuming any during the playthrough. We also recommend not picking them up at all, just in case.
  • Obtained the unpurified Sacred Sword. You’ll need to complete the Jizo Statue puzzle, unless you’ve already done so in a previous playthrough. We’ll go into more detail on this later.

Meet these two simple criteria and you’ll get this ending upon completing the main story.

Ebisugaoka in Silence

Ebisugaoka Promo Shot | Silent Hill f

This is the big one! It’s more or less treated as the “true ending” of Silent Hill f. Fittingly, that also means it requires the most work to get. These are its requirements:

  • Complete two other full endings. This means you need to have at least two other real endings marked as completed on the save where you attempt this ending. That includes all endings besides the UFO ending, “The Great Space Invasion!”
  • Didn’t take the red capsules. Same as the previous endings with this requirement.
  • Purified the Sacred Sword. You need to make sure to both get and purify the Sacred Sword in this playthrough.
  • Offered the Brooch.
6th Jizo Statue in Silent Hill f

The last requirement here is the most unique one for this ending. To offer the brooch, you need to find an extra Jizo Statue before you reach Shimizu Residence on your 5th visit to Ebisugaoka. It’s the one shown in the image above. Interact with it to give it the brooch.

Note that this does mean you’ll lose the brooch for the rest of this playthrough! That means you won’t be able to open any Inari-sama doors or boxes past this point. It’s no big deal, but it’s worth noting if you still need the “Inari’s Secrets” trophy.

The Great Space Invasion!

UFO Ending preview in Silent Hill f

Last but not least, this is the classic comedic “UFO ending” for this Silent Hill. To get it, you’ll need to do the following:

  • Listened to the UFO radio broadcast.
  • Found all 3 of “The Great Space Invasion” movie posters in order after listening to the UFO radio broadcast.
  • Found “The Great Space Invasion” movie review after fulfilling the conditions above.

This ending is largely going to have you hunting for items, as you can see. So, if you want more details, check out our full UFO ending guide. It tells you the exact locations for everything you need for this ending!

Lastly, it’s worth noting again that this ending does not count as a “full ending.” As such, it won’t help you unlock the “Ebisugaoka in Silence” ending. Keep that in mind.

How to Get and Purify the Sacred Sword

Sacred Sword in Silent Hill f

So, as you might’ve noticed, the Sacred Sword will be key if you wish to get all of the endings in Silent Hill f. To obtain it, you’ll need to find a total of 5 Jizo Statues in Ebisugaoka. Bring a special item found near these statues to appease them. Do this for all 5 in a single playthrough to unlock the sword.

Note: The Sacred Sword and Jizo Statues are, again, only available in New Game+. They can not be found at all on a first playthrough.

Also, if you’ve unlocked the Sacred Sword on a previous playthrough, you don’t need to do it again on subsequent ones. Instead, it will simply be readily available at the second Jizo Statue!

With that said, let’s quickly go over the location of all 5 Jizo Statues and their items.

Jizo Statues Locations

You can find the first statue at the very start of the game, when you need to head to Chizuruya for the first time. It’s by a red mail box close to Hinako’s house. The offering for it is the Faded Bride Doll, which you can find inside the now-open house in the easternmost part of this area.

For the second statue, you can find it when you need to head to Rinko’s house. Take the northern path from the fields and head to the shed with tools and equipment. Its offering is the Rusted Flask, which is further north, outside of the Sennensugi Shrine.

Remember, this second statue will have the Sacred Sword if you unlocked it on a previous playthrough.

Moving on to the third statue, this one is found before you reach Ebisugaoka Middle School. It requires the Broken Japanese Geta Sandal. You can find both of these right before you reunite with Shu and Rinko to enter the school proper.

You can find the fourth statue before you enter Shu’s House. The statue is between the nearby Hokora and Shu’s House. Its offering is the Cracked Hibachi Brazier, which is right outside of Shu’s Workshop, on the back of Shu’s House.

The final statue is on the way to the Shimizu Residence. Its offering is Dad’s Old Kitchen Knife. Both the statue and offering are on the main path at the start of this section. You just need to go a bit northwest from Shu’s House.

With that done, you’ll need to backtrack a bit to claim the Sacred Sword. Go southwest of Shu’s House and climb up the mountain. Reach the spot on the map above to find the divine tree. A cutscene will start as soon as you approach it, rewarding you with the Sacred Sword.

Purifying the Sword

To purify the Sacred Sword, you’ll need to complete a puzzle involving bells at the Main Hall of the Dark Shrine. It’s where the three rituals took place. You can find the puzzle in the same area where the Agura no Hotei-sama is, following the route on the clip above.

Stone Tablet clue for the bell puzzle (Hard Puzzle difficulty) | Silent Hill f

Once you’re in that area, interact with the large stone tablet there to get a clue on how to solve the puzzle. The long and short of it is that you need to ring three bells in the area in sequence and timed to when the shishi-odoshi (the bamboo fountain-like contraption) makes a sound. The sequence based on the symbols in the bells is Volcano, Waves, Circle With Tree.

You can tell the puzzle is done when you hear an ominous sound and the water in the area turns red. At this point, you can just continue the story as normal until you return to Ebisugaoka.

Note: We recommend making an alternate save right before the next step. This will allow you to reload the save and get multiple endings at once, minimizing the amount of playthroughs required.

Location of crimson waters to purify the blade | Silent Hill f

Next time you go to Ebisugaoka, you’ll need to visit the shrine near Shu’s House. You’ll find a well with crimson water there. Interact with it to purify the Sacred Sword and you’re all done!

With that last bit of information, you now know everything you need to be able to get all endings in Silent Hill f. All that’s left is for you to see what these endings entail…
