Mining Gneiss Rocks in Pax Dei is the best way to get 2 extremely valuable resources, Gneiss and Sand. You will mainly want Sand as you will need a lot of it to make Glass in this game.
Like most resources in this game, Gneiss Rocks have specific deposit locations, and they will only spawn at these locations. We will be looking at where you can find Gneiss Rock’s in Pax Dei. You will need a ton of Gneiss Rocks throughout your time in the game, so make sure you farm as much as you can.
Where to Find Gneiss Rock
Gneiss Rock deposits will only spawn at specific areas on your map. The best place to find the deposits is in the area with black rocks on your map. This is the topmost location marked with the number 1 on the map above.
Other than that, Gneiss Rock deposits can also be found in grassy areas. These areas are also marked on the map. While the other areas on your map might not have Gneiss Rocks, they still have plenty of other resources that you can mine like Granite. Check out our guide on where to find Granite for more on that.
You can find similar areas all over the game’s map. So even if you have your base in some other map area, you can find the same areas close to your base.
Once you’ve mined the Gneiss Deposits, you will need to wait a certain time before you can mine them again. Resources in Pax Dei will automatically respawn after a certain time. You can check out our guide on resource respawn timers to learn more about that.
Crafting Glass
The Sand that you mine can then be used to make Glass. To craft Glass in this game, you will need to have a Furnace at your base. Using the Furnace you can craft Glass using 2 ingredients, Sand and Charcoal.
For 10x Glass, you will need:
40x Sand
30x Charcoal
Once you have the ingredients, just place them in your furnace and wait for the Sand to turn into Glass.
Glass is a very important ingredient in Pax Dei, especially for the Alchemy Skill. If you are your clan’s designated Alechemist, make sure you always have Sand on hand to meet your need for Glass.
Knowing the locations for Gneiss Rock deposits, you can go back there any time and mine them. For more Pax Dei related guides and news, be sure to check out our website.
