Palia has recently released a new expansion pack called Elderwood, which adds a new zone of the same name. There, you can discover a lot of new content, including bugs, animals, resources, and more. As expected, it also comes with a wide range of new quests that you can complete, which can lead to various rewards for your account.

In this guide, we will help you find the sacred flowers needed for the shrines in this zone! Do take note that this will involve a lot of randomness too.

Palia Elderwood – How to Get Sacred Flowers

So, if you are looking for what these sacred flowers are for, let us go over that real quick first. These special items are used as offerings to Umbraan shrines that can be found all around the new region of Elderwood.

Offering a sacred flower to one of these will give you a wide range of rewards for essentially free, but you can only do it once per shrine. There is a total of fifteen of these things, and some of them will require more than one sacred flower before they grant you any rewards.

Now, when it comes to actually getting sacred flowers, there are various ways to do it, and some will require you to grind quite a bit first.

First, the most straightforward but also expensive way to get some is by purchasing them from Tamala or her stand in the central stables of Elderwood. This will set you back 350 infected essence a piece, and she only has a limited stock.

Once you have bought all of the sacred flowers that Tamala offers, you will now have to search for them out in the wilds. It is not as simple as just going to specific spots and picking them off the ground, though.

The maximum number you can buy from her store is reportedly a meager five pieces. This is far from the ideal number, as there are a ton of shrines, and this is only going to be enough for a handful of them.

Another way to get it is by completing quests. Some of the new main and side quests reward you with a few sacred flowers. With that in mind, progressing through the new story content is a surefire way to get a couple of them, but again, this will not be enough.

You might need to explore a bit to start some of the side quests required to get the next handful of sacred flowers, as some of them are not started by speaking with NPCs. If you have made it to this point of the game, we are sure you can figure things out from there.

Just be on the lookout for any journals on the ground or other shimmering items that stick out from the usual resources you can gather. More specifically, stay alert while you are exploring the new Elderwood zone.

There are also a handful of sacred flowers that you can find near some of the Elderwood furniture pieces scattered around the map that you can unlock at the cost of infected essence. Here are some locations you can check:

  • Sacred Flower #1 – Just ahead of where the Elderwood Armchair is found within the De Mer Dock area, you will find a sacred flower if you jump onto the ruined dock section over the water.
  • Sacred Flower #2 – Near the spot where you find the Mossy Rug, which is directly to the north of the previous location, there should be a sacred flower in the small cave past the rug itself. It is sitting beside a vase of sunflowers and should be easy to spot once you get there.
  • Sacred Flower #3 – You can find another one of these flowers at the same spot where you get the Elderwood End Table, which is perched up on the large wall at the edge of the Deep Woods zone. You will need to do a bit of climbing to be able to glide over there.
  • Sacred Flower #4 – This next flower is found slightly submerged underwater in the small pond just ahead of where you can find the Elderwood Floor Branch. Just exit to the south of the central stables of this zone and walk over to the pond to get it.
  • Sacred Flower #5 – Finally, you can find another one of these flowers by going back to the central stables and checking behind the hut where you can claim the Elderwood Couch. Climb the small inconspicuous cave and you will find it glowing at the very end.

Once you have gotten all of these “static” ways to acquire them, you are at the mercy of RNGesus as everything else will be pretty random. Supposedly, you can get it as a drop from high tier animals, which are the magical variants that might be a bit annoying to hunt on your lonesome.

If you have friends or other helpful players in the server you are currently on, consider chatting them up and asking for help to track down and hunt these magical animals. They are not guaranteed to drop a sacred flower, but that is confirmed to be one of the ways to get them.

They can also be found from some of the treasure chest spawns in the new zone, so make sure to check every nook and cranny until you find them! There is also a known issue where people are missing at least one flower, so it is entirely possible that there is a bug currently preventing some players from completing it.

And that is pretty much everything we know so far about these elusive special flowers. If you are struggling to complete the collection, consider changing things up and hunting for a different type of flower instead.
