Palia Elderwood – How to Get Out of the Beast’s Lair

Palia has recently released a new expansion called Elderwood, which introduces a slew of new content, including an entire region, more quests, and plenty more to discover throughout the region. There are a lot of new quests for you to complete as well, and this includesone called Like a Shiprunt. In this guide, we will try to help you through the steps needed to complete this first part of it.

Palia Elderwood – How to Get Out of the Beast’s Lair

After reading some of the clues in this cave that you are trapped in, go and use your watering can tool to grab water from one part of the room and then use it to fill the basin that you passed by as you entered this area.

You will receive a notification that Flow has infused your hand. With this, you will be able to chop the infected growth nearby with your axe, so go and do that. This will get you a treasure chest.

Now, to proceed through the quest, grab some more water with your watering can and then climb the rope net in this room and enter through the door. There will be another basin that you can fill here, so go and do that to have some more Flow to break the vine blocking your way.

Sweep up some of the debris on the floor here to find a mysterious key. This will be used to unlock the trap door at the other end of the room, allowing you to proceed to the next area, which is only labeled as the “Hidden Cave”.

Navigate your way through the hidden caves. This will require you to activate basins multiple times as there will be a lot of infected vines that you have to break through. Eventually, you will find your way to the trapped boy, who is apparently named Ulfe.

Free him by, you guessed it, using yet another basin to infuse some Flow into yourself and chopping the vines surrounding him with your axe. Once you have freed the boy, speak with him and you will learn more about his current situation.

Subira will eventually show up during your conversation, and she will take you outside of this mysterious cave, finally rendering you free from this horrid place. Speak with her to complete this last part of the quest. That should be it for this quest, congratulations!

Once you are done with this quest, you are free to continue to the next part of the story or just take a break and complete one of the new side quests added with this expansion pack. The next thing you will have to do is called Something Wicked, which is also given to you by Subira back at the stables.
