In LEGO Fortnite, the marble is a crucial Tier 2 rock material essential for your progression in the game. You’ll need it to build important facilities/manufacturing stations, as well as some other recipes.

The upgrading process for your bench demands marble, and yet, you need the upgraded bench to craft the pickaxe! It can be a tad confusing – but no worries, I’m here to help you out.

Where To Find Marble

First things first, make sure to upgrade your crafting bench. This upgrade is necessary to unlock the Forest Axe, a key tool in obtaining the coveted Uncommon pickaxe – which you’ll use to harvest marble.

To kick things off, you’ll need to locate a cave entrance. Keep in mind that each world has a unique seed, resulting in different and randomly generated caves.

These caves are characterized by large rock structures with a dark entrance at the front as shown in the image below.

Once inside the cave, you’ll find two tier 2 materials: marble and root wood aka Knotroot aka Tier 2 Wood.

Since we’re after marble, you’ll initially need to craft the Forest Axe, handaxe or hatchet to gather Tier 2 Wood, which you’ll use to craft or upgrade for the Tier 2 Pickaxe.

The knotroot are found attached to the walls of the cave, and they resemble this root-thingy shown in the image below. For more details, check out our guide on where to find & how to obtain Knotroot!

Now, the Tier 2 Pickaxe is also known as the Uncommon Pickaxe, and you’ll have to use it in order to gather or obtain marble from the veins in the caves.

SIDE NOTE: You might want to increase your pickaxe’s durability, so you can use it longer and get even more marbles!

Here’s another bonus tip for you: Consider equipping a torch in your left hand (similar to Minecraft) and having an allied NPC by your side. This simple setup can significantly ease your cave exploration.

You even have the option to pass a torch to the NPC, allowing them to carry the light for you. Additionally, don’t forget you can use a shield on your left hand for added protection. It’s a practical strategy that enhances your overall caving experience.

In summary, explore the caves, gather tier 2 wood, craft the pickaxe, and then mine the marble. It’s a quick and easy process that will significantly boost your in-game progress.

Speaking of progress, why not go towards that path even more and craft yourself a freaking glider! It’s pretty cool, so make sure to check it out.
