The glider is probably the most iconic item in Fortnite, and you can also craft it in LEGO Fortnite! Now, there are a lot of prerequisites that you need before you can craft the glider, but it’s not as complicated as many would believe. When progressing through the story, you’ll inevitably unlock the glider anyway.
But let me get straight down to brass tax and show you how to unlock it! Use table of contents below to skip ahead if needed.
Glider Recipe
To make the glider, players will need to have the following materials:
x8 Flexwood Rod;
x4 Wool Fabric;
x6 Silk Fabric.
Glider Prerequisites
Along with the required items to craft the glider, players will also have a few prerequisites before they will be able to make it such as unlocking the Dry Valley, a Level 3 crafting bench, and Gem Cutter.
In the Dry Valley player will be able to get Flexwood to make Flexwood rods and the Gem Cutter is used to make Cut Amber tomake the Rare Forest Axe needed to chop down cactuses.
How To Unlock Glider
In order to get the glider in LEGO Fortnite, all you need to do is this:
Upgrade Crafting Bench to RARE
This is pretty self-explanatory, you’ll need a Level 3 crafting bench to craft the glider.
Get x8 Flexwood Rod
This one is a bit more complicated. You’ll need to get a Rare Forest Axe and use it to chop down cactuses in the Dry Valley to get Flexwood. Once you have enough Flexwood, you can go back and deposit it to the Lumber Mill to get x8 Flexwood Rods.
Get x6 Silk Fabric & x4 Wool Fabric
To make Silk Fabric, you’ll of course need Silk which you can get by killing spiders. After you have enough Silk, to get the Wool, you’ll need to pet sheep. Next, you’ll need to craft a Spinning Wheel if you don’t have one and use it to create Silk Thread and Wool Thread. Finally, you can use a Loom to turn the Silk Threads and Wool Threads to Silk Fabric and Wool Fabric.
Craft the Glider
Using a Level 3 crafting bench, you can craft the glider. It’s a rare item and it’s located in the misc. crafting tab.
How To Get Flexwood & Flexwood Rods
This part of the process is a bit tedious and it will require players to be further in the story than most would hope. Here’s how to get Flexwood and process it into rods:
Unlock the Dry Valley (Desert Biome).
Mine Amber ores to get Rough Amber.
Make a Gem Cutter in order to make Cut Amber.
Make a Rare Forest Axe and use it to chop down cactuses in Dry Valley to get Flexwood. It may be a good idea to increase the durability of it to use it for longer!
Deposit the Flexwood in the Lumber Mill and make Flexwood Rods.
How To Get Silk and Wool & Make Fabric
Getting Silk and Wool and turning them to fabric is quite straightforward actually. As I said before, just kill some spiders in order to get the Silk and pet sheep to get the Wool.
Once you have both materials, you’ll need a Spinning Wheel to turn that Silk and Wool to Silk Thread and Wool Thread.
After that, you can finally use a Loom to turn the Silk Thread into Silk Fabric and Wool Thread into Wool Fabric.
How To Use Glider in LEGO Fortnite
Once this item is crafted, it will be inside your inventory. To use it, it’s important that you open your inventory and equip the glider.
After that, you can use it from high ground. To activate it, you will need to jump off of a ledge OR any high platform, and then jump again in midair to activate the glider and start gliding.
Thankfully, the glider doesn’t lose durability like other items in LEGO Fortnite, for which you may be wondering how do I fix these items before they break…? So, glide away adventurer, see you in the blocky world!
