Yremeryss is one of the toughest bosses in Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, so trying to win against her is a true test of patience.

She can heal, she can deal huge damage, and she even gets allies to help her out! She’s an overwhelming boss for sure.

In this guide, we’ll tell you tips and strategies to help make this fight a lot more manageable.

How To Defeat Yremeryss

Yremeryss boss fight gameplay

The first trick to defeating Yremeryss is to make sure you have a group of tanky character aided by strong damage dealers.

Having Abelard for tanking, Argenta for damage, and Cassia for overall usefulness is highly recommended.

It’s also a good idea to have an Officer with a good build, be it your Rogue Trader or a mercenary, to help give you extra turns.

Also, you should make sure to focus on the adds that appear during the fight. Yremeryss alone is tough and the extra enemies can make the fight extremely overwhelming.

Down the stairs!

To help deal with these extra enemies, you should turn around and run down the stairs as soon as the fight starts.

Go as far to the bottom as possible and you’ll effectively use the stairs as a chokepoint to help you take out the mobs one by one!

Facing Yremeryss Herself

Once you’ve culled enough of the adds, you should have your strongest attackers focus fire on Yremeryss.

Yremeryss is a tricky boss because she can heal herself extremely quickly, and she gets extra free turns. To counter that, you should aim to kill her during a single round, not giving her a chance to heal.

Characters like Cassia and Argenta are great for this, thanks to their insanely high damage. Yrliet is also a good choice, thanks to her high single-shot damage.

Ideally, your attackers should also be buffed as much as possible by support units like Officers and Grand Strategists.

Abilities that grant extra Action Points and buffs are also key here to make sure you can deal lots of damage to Yremeryss in one round.

The Officer archetype’s “Finest Hour!”, “Bring It Down” and “Voice of Command” can make the fight a lot smoother by granting extra AP and buffing your attackers.

Tanky units close to Yremeryss

If you have built any of your characters to be extremely tanky, you should position them within Yremeryss’ melee range.

This can prevent her from using her pistol’s burst shot, which is her most lethal attack!

Cassia kills Yremeryss

Do note, though, you’ll also need to finish off any remaning adds once you take out Yremeryss.

In the end, the basic gist of the fight is to just cull as many of the adds as possible so that you can focus fire on Yremeryss and take her out within one round.

It’s a lot easier said than done, and luck plays a fairly big factor, to be fair. Nonetheless, you should now be much more fit to take on this challenging boss fight!
