The Reforging Bench in Path of Exile 2 is one of the many tools you can use to recycle useless loot.
It allows you to create a new item by sacrificing 3 other items. What you get depends heavily on what you use as a base, but it’s a good way to try to get new equipment!
In this short guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to know to use the Reforging Bench and what it does.
How To Use The Reforging Bench | Path Of Exile 2
The earliest you can use the Reforging Bench in Path of Exile 2 is once you recover the Smithing Tools for Renly. He’ll give you access to the Reforging Bench once you deliver the tools. You’ll also be able to use the Reforging Bench in other towns later in the game.
To use the Reforging Bench, interact with it. You’ll need to provide 3 items as a “sacrifice” of sorts. The 3 items need to have the same base name and be of the same rarity. For example, the screenshot above shows 3 Crumbling Mauls of Magic rarity.
Once they’re all set, click on the Reforge button. You’ll get a new random weapon that matches your 3 sacrificial items’ rarity and base name. Essentially, this lets you transform trash items into a similar one with new stats and modifiers. It can be a good way to recycle trash loot if you don’t feel like selling or dismantling it.
Lastly, keep in mind that you can’t use Corrupted Items for this. The Reforging Bench simply won’t let you do anything at all with them!
That’s all you need to know to use the Reforging Bench in Path of Exile 2. Whether it’s worth using it to recycle loot over selling and dismantling is ultimately up to you. It’s definitely useful if you simply want another variant of an item you already have 3 of, though!
Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
