The Alters has a fairly straightforward story where you have to play as a guy who crash landed onto a dangerous planet and must escape with the help of his alternative selves. With some light survival and base building elements thrown in the mix, you will eventually run into tasks that require you to do stuff related to production. This guide will show you how to do one of these tasks!
How to Setup Uphold Production in The Alters
If you have the Uphold Production thing showing on your screen, this is something that can be done in your workshop or through the production tab, and it is actually a pretty simple process to get going.
Once you are at the production page of your menu, you should notice two button prompts near the top of your screen. By pressing the middle mouse button, you can set an uphold for a specific item that you have selected. You can also hold the middle mouse button in order to set an infinite uphold.
So, depending on your needs, either set a normal uphold, or just make an infinite one if you need a certain item to be made at all times.
You should also see what other upholds you have queued up on the right side of the screen, and it will even tell you if you have the resources necessary to start it or not. “No Resources” should show up in the queue if that particular item cannot be crafted at this time.
There, you will also have the option to change the order of the queue, as well as adjust what each item’s uphold should be. Holding the middle mouse button while something is selected in queue will convert it into an infinite uphold.
Once you have your queue all set up, that is pretty much all you need to know about it. You have now successfully set up your first uphold, and you are completely free to make more of these if you need to.
