Assassin’s Creed Shadows has a wide range of quests that do not give you exact directions like most of Ubisoft’s other games tend to do. Luckily, this game in particular gives you plenty of clues that point you to the exact location, including a feature that just leads you straight there. In this guide, we will help you figure out how to get the kanzashi during the quest called “The Stray Dogs”.
How to Retrieve the Kanzashi During The Stray Dogs Quest
One of the quests you can do early on in the game while playing as Naoe is The Stray Dogs. There is a lot going on here, but there is one specific step wherein you must retrieve the kanzashi. Fortunately for you, the game has the following hints to accompany that objective:
It can be found in the northern part of Izumi Settsu.
More specifically, it is found within the Church of Takatsuki, which is labeled on your map.
Finally, the item is held by Tetsuo, so you know exactly who to look for in the Church of Takatsuki.
With all of those hints in mind, all you need to do is go to the Church of Takatsuki and look for Tetsuo. In case you do not pay attention to any of the tutorials, all you need to do to search for him there is hold L2 and you should see a glint of light that indicates a point of interest or objective.
Alternatively, you can take a quick look at the map image below for the exact spot where you can find him. Do not worry about stealth or combat, as the NPCs in this specific part of Takatsuki are not hostile to you by default:
Once you get there, just engage with Tetsuo and it will initiate the next part of the quest, which involves running after him as he runs away in fear of his life. That is pretty much all there is to it.
Seriously, never forget that you can hold L2 to look around. Not only does this help you pinpoint quest objectives, but it will also show you lootable containers and more within the area. Eagle vision is another completely free feature you have from the start that will show you certain NPCs through walls.
That is really all you need to know in order to get through this extremely simple part of the quest. If you continue to struggle with stuff like this, we highly recommend just turning on Guided Mode in the settings as you are going to have a rough time with the game if even the simple clues throw you off hard.
Franco is a writer and avid gamer who spends a lot of his free time looking for the next obscure indie roguelike to add to his collection. If he’s not busy working or writing on his personal blog, there’s also a non-zero chance that you stumble into him in pretty much any multiplayer game that has SEA or OCE servers. He’s pretty good at anything unless it’s a fighting game, in which case you’d probably body him.
