Developed by Sand Sailor Studio, Aska is a multiplayer survival game that has just seen its early access come out.
Aska at times can be a very challenging game, especially early on. One of the most important early game aspects to take care of is resource management. Water in Aska is a necessity, and it is something you will always need on you. The game gives you a water container to hold water, but this water container will eventually empty out, requiring you to refill the container.
How to Refill Water Container in Aska
You can Refill your water container using a Rain Collector. Before you can use the Rain Collector, you must craft it and place it at your base.
The Rain Collector is a pretty basic structure that you will be able to craft fairly early in the game. Once you’ve crafted the structure, it will passively generate water for you, giving you a water source at your base.
To collect water from the Rain Collector, all you have to do is go up to it and hold R on your keyboard to gather the water. You can see how much water your water container currently has by looking at the first option on your hot bar at the bottom. The arrow in the image above shows this.
Other than filling up your water container, you can also drink directly from the Rain Collector. You can do this by holding E on your keyboard when next to the Rain Collector.
Alternative Water Source
While the Rain Collector is very useful early on, it will not be able to sustain you as your tribe grows.
You can craft the Water Well to upgrade your water source. The Water Well will be unlocked a bit later than the Rain Collector, and it requires more materials to craft. It more than makes up for it though, as it will supply your base with a lot more water.
You can build multiple water sources in Aska, and as your tribe grows, you will need a lot of water to sustain it. Additionally, your tribe will benefit from knowing the best early-game foods in Aska, so make sure you check out our article on that. Having multiple Water Wells and Rain Collectors will ensure that your tribe never runs out of water.
