How to Get Your First Kiss in Paralives

Getting your first kiss in Paralives isn’t as simple as picking the first flirt option you see. The game uses a detailed relationship system where conversations, personality traits, and timing all play a part, and pushing too hard with pink romance cards too early can backfire.

Your chances of a successful kiss mostly come down to keeping your Para’s needs filled and waiting for the right moment. They’re displayed as a percentage on the card, so always check that number before you commit. In this guide, I’ll cover what actually increases your odds and how to get that first kiss without the awkward fails.

Getting Your First Kiss

The first thing you need is obviously a Parafolk you want to increase your romantic interest with. If you still do not have anyone in mind, just look around the street and find a Parafolk you like. Once you find someone, click on them and then select “Talk with“. You can pause the time if you are having trouble clicking on them.

As you are talking you will see a bar on the bottom left side of your screen to the left of your character’s card. That bar will start filling up and you can speed up time to make it fill faster. Once it fills completely, you will see an exclamation mark appear there. Click on that and then select the pink card that says “Introduce yourself in a flirty manner“.

You may not always get this card. It depends on various factors like your current relationship or your traits. This card will also show a certain success rate. To increase your chances of success, you can talk to the Parafolk a bit more before choosing a pink card.

After that look for the card that says “Ask if single“. This checks whether they can be a romantic partner or not. As you keep talking, you will also get yellow cards. These increase a specific aspect of your relationship with them.

Whenever you see a yellow card, you want to pick the ones that increase “Romantic Interest“. This will make your pink cards work better. You can check the level of “Romantic Interest” you have with a Parafolk by clicking the social button on the left side that opens the “Relationships” menu. Then just select the Parafolk you are interested in.

If you could not make it work during the first encounter, you can still try again later. Call them to your house by clicking on your own Parafolk then selecting “Use phone…” then “Call Parafolk…” and finally “Invite home…“.

Now keep selecting the pink cards you get but always make sure they have a decent success rate. Whenever you get a yellow card that increases “Romantic Interest”, always pick that first. Then go back to focusing on pink cards again.

You will eventually start seeing pink cards like “Hint at physical intimacy” and “Look at tenderly“. That is your sign that you are pretty close to getting the “First Kiss” pink card. Once you finally see that card, make sure it has a good success rate and then go for it. If the success rate is too low, then increase your “Romantic Interest” with them first before selecting it.

Wrapping Up

And that is really all there is to it. Build up that Romantic Interest bar with yellow cards, keep an eye on success rates, and wait for that pink “First Kiss” card to show up. It takes a bit of patience but eventually the game will let you seal the deal.
