This new, uncommon crop isn’t instantly available, however. You’ll first need to progress through the Elderwood and then find the right character to buy the seeds from. Grow these pumpkins, though, and you’ll get access to some new recipes. Plus, it’s nice to have some pumpkins!

How to Get Rockhopper Pumpkin | Palia
To get Rockhopper Pumpkins, you will first need to complete the “The Nature of Shadows” main story quest. Once you’ve done that, you can talk to Tamala to use her shop. Either visit her at her house by the Thorny Thicket in Bahari Bay or at her shop in the Central Stables in Elderwood.

You can then buy the Rockhopper Pumpkin Seeds for 500 Infected Essence. You can collect Infected Essence by pretty much gathering any in the Elderwood region. Hunt infected critters, catch infected bugs and fish, forage infected flora, or even just by picking up the raw Infected Essence orbs you can find dotted around the region.
Once you’ve got the seeds, return to your plot and plant them. It requires a 2×2 grid to plant and takes 9 days to grow fully. You’ll get the Pickled Pumpkin recipe if you manage to grow 10 Star Rockhopper Pumpkins. For that, make sure to use fertilizers to improve your crop’s quality!
