The Makino Kurumazuka Kofun in AC Shadows is relatively unique, as even trying to get into it requires some work.

This Kofun’s entrance has been blocked off completely by some rubble. To be able to enter it, you’ll need to figure out a way to clear the rubble. An easy way is to simply blow it up, but you need to know how to do that properly!

In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to get into the Makino Kurumazuka Kofun.

How to Get into Makino Kurumazuka Kofun | AC Shadows Guide

You can find the Makino Kurumazuka Kofun north of the Yawata Plains in the Izumi Settsu region. This is directly north of where your Hideout is in Izumi Settsu, as shown on the map above.

Now, you’ll need to play as Yasuke to enter it. If you’re still early in the game, you’ll need to progress the story until Yasuke becomes a playable character. You’ll also need to have and equip either a Teppo or Bow.

Once you get to the Kofun’s location on the map, you should notice that there’s a red explosive barrel outside. Approach it as Yasuke and you’ll be able to pick it up and carry it. Naoe can’t do that, which is why you needed Yasuke here!

While carrying the barrel, go down the stairs to approach the Kofun’s entrance. As you might’ve noticed before, it’s blocked off by rubble. Let’s fix that, yeah?

Throw the explosive barrel in front of the rubble and then shoot it with either a Teppo or a Bow. It will detonate the barrel, destroy the rubble, and allow you to get into the Kofun!

So, there you have it, that’s how to get into the Makino Kurumazuka Kofun in AC Shadows. This Kofun has some more pathways blocked by rubble, just like this one. The process is pretty much the same for those too: carry an explosive barrel next to the rubble and detonate it to clear a path!
