15 articlesThe “Fox’s Wedding” ending is one of the alternate endings you can get in Silent Hill f. Like the other alternate endings, this one is only available in New Game+. So, you need to have already beaten the game once before! As for the ending itself… we won’t spoil it, but it’s generally considered a bad ending. Do you want to find out why that is? Well, read on to find out how to get this ending.
How To Get Fox’s Wedding Ending | Silent Hill f
There are three main requirements for you to be able to get the “Fox’s Wedding” ending, as follows:
- Didn’t take the Red Capsules. This one means you should not use any Red Capsules during the entire playthrough. Also, do not take the ones offered at Shu’s Workshop on the 4th visit to Ebisugaoka.
- Purified the Sacred Sword, or didn’t obtain it. For the sake of this ending, we recommend just ignoring the Sacred Sword. You get it by completing the Jizo Statues’ puzzle, so ignoring them is the safest bet.
- If you do want to collect the Sacred Sword, make sure to finish the bell puzzle on your 4th visit to the Dark Shrine. This will allow you to purify the sword with the Crimson Waters on your 5th visit to Ebisugaoka. We’ll give you more details on this later in this guide.
- Obtained the Agura no Hotei-sama. This is a special key item tied exclusively to this ending. Note that it’s actually called “Hotei-sama Sitting Cross-legged” in-game!
How to Get the Agura no Hotei-sama
As you can see from the requirements, the Agura no Hotei-sama is your main objective for this ending. You can find it in a secret area of the Main Hall during your 4th visit to the Otherworld in New Game+. Follow the route shown in the clip above to reach it. It takes you through a path that was blocked on the first playthrough.
With the Agura no Hotei-sama in your possession, just make sure to ignore Red Capsules and ignore (or purify) the Sacred Sword. Though if you do plan to purify the sword, we can help point you in the right direction!

If you’re planning to obtain and purify the Sacred Sword, make sure to complete the bell puzzle right after you obtain the Agura no Hotei-sama. It’s in the same section of the Dark Shrine you’re in. You’ll need to ring the bells in the area in the right order, using the hint from the stone tablet nearby.
After you’ve completed that puzzle, feel free to continue the story until your fifth visit to Ebisugaoka. We recommend making an alternate save before the next step! This will allow you to reload to before purifying it, which makes it possible to get other endings.
Nonetheless, once you’re at that point, go to the shrine shown on the map above and put the Sacred Sword in the well with crimson waters. This will purify it, allowing you to get the “Fox’s Wedding” ending while also having this powerful weapon.
Continue the story as normal from this point on, and you’ll get the “Fox’s Wedding” ending at the very end of Silent Hill f! This isn’t the happiest ending possible, though… do you want something a bit more cheerful? Well, the UFO Ending might be for you!
