Both of them appear a fair bit into the game, so you won’t find them in the Coastal Jungle biome. However, they are very easy to find once you get past that part of the game.
In this quick guide, I’ll tell you how to easily get both Corn and Cane Sugar.
How and Where to Get Corn and Cane Sugar
To be able to get both Corn and Cane Sugar, you’ll first need to defeat the Coastal Jungle Threat, Thomas Richards. Doing so will unlock the Foothills biome Discovery.

However, you won’t unlock Discoveries if you go there early, so you’ll have no use for the Corn and Sugar! This also helps you work towards other unlocks, such as the Homemade Gunpowder.
Once you do reach the Foothills, look for Ancient Farm POIs on your map. Since the world is procedurally generated, I can’t give you their exact locations. However, the example above should help you look for them.
When you reach an Ancient Farm, look around in the fields on the exterior. You should find interactable Corn plants in the fields. Just interact to harvest them and get some Corn.
Worth noting that you’ll also get some Corn Seeds whenever you pick up Corn. You can use those to grow your own Corn crops at a Seedbed. For more details, check out our farming guide!
For the Cane Sugar, you’ll want to look inside the ruined buildings at the Ancient Farm. You should be able to spot interactable Ancient Containers, such as the one shown above. Pick them up to get some Cane Sugar.
So, there you have it! That’s all you need to do to get Corn and Cane Sugar in Windrose. It’s ultimately up to randomization, since you need to find the Ancient Farms, but now you know what to look out for.
